Here's the latest chapter in WWE authority figures failing to read their own fine print. That's alright though, because it let Paul Heyman's smarmy smirk come to the fore as he outwitted Nick Aldis and caused steam to come out the SmackDown GM's ears like he was starring in a cartoon. In short, Heyman handpicked none other than Drew McIntyre as the latest member of his WarGames team.

Cue horror from Nick and more evil grinning from Drew.

Of course, Aldis had suspended the Scot for his actions during last week's show. That led to a lot of debate about whether or not McIntyre was jetting off to film the new Highlander movie. He will be involved in that, but not quite yet. Being real, it's a real plus that he and WWE kept everyone guessing this way. Sometimes, it's nice to get hoodwinked by the folks penning this stuff!

Defending his decision, Paul rightly pointed out that WWE management said he could choose "anybody". That was in the terms of the contract. Paperwork didn't say anything about suspensions. Thus, Drew is free to join Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul and another unnamed worker at Survivor Series for the titular double cage WarGames scuffle.

If nothing else, at least McIntyre does add some star power to the lineup, and he’s a logical pick due to his issues with the babyfaces. That's more than one can say about everything that's been going on over on the women's side. WarGames still feels flimsy, but slightly less so due to Drew hating Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, The Usos and anyone else he feels has screwed him over for years.
