3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (12 January - Results & Review)

2. Vaquer As The Gullible Champion

Had Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer came out to confront Raquel Rodriguez and tried to exact a measure of retribution for last week’s attack and then gotten pummeled, their encounter on Raw Monday night might have rated highly. But rather than a valiant champion limping straight into the danger, it was Vaquer hobbling out in her walking boot, turning her back on Rodriguez and claiming that the injury “will not stop me… come and get it,” right before Raquel returned and blindsided Stephanie from the same direction she had walked off just seconds earlier.

There’s no two ways about how utterly foolish Vaquer looked here. Rodriguez cut a perfectly decent promo near the entrance before Vaquer limped out with a bunch of officials keeping them separated, only for Stephanie to turn to the camera and chatter for about seven seconds before she got blasted, clearly demonstrating that she has no peripheral vision.

Again, if this is the best the creative team can offer, then it’s time to send them to the glue factory.
