2. A Wrestle-Light, Backstage-Heavy Night

Last night's main event really had to carry the lion's share of the show. Without it, it would have felt like something of a ghost town. The episode ran under 50 minutes with intros and adverts taken out and featured only four matches, two of which were Bull Dempsey vs Angelo Dawkins and the blockbuster bout: Eva Marie vs Local Competitor. That's some pretty vanilla filler right there. The rest of the episode was taken up by loads of backstage interviews. Dana and Emma sounded off about Asuka, Carmella gave medical updates on Enzo and Cass, Jordan and Gable did some more of their (admittedly adorable) schtick, and Bayley appeared with twin-doofuses of NXT, the Hype Bros. And that's not all; Dawson & Wilder and the Vaudevillains also shot barbs at each other via the conversational medium of a wheelchair. It was quite odd and underwhelming.
