30 Most INSANE Things Wrestlers Have EVER Said On Live TV

17. Michael Cole & Josh Matthews' NXT Season 3 Commentary (General)

Nxt Season 3
WWE

Time has been horrifically unkind to Michael Cole and Josh Matthews' yuk-yuk commentary over the cursed NXT Season 3. And good, because either with their own thoughts or by parroting the thoughts of others in their ears, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews were horrifically unkind to the roster of women trying to get over during the cursed NXT Season 3.

When it became clear that the company were prepared to let the show die on the vine, smug know-alls Cole and Matthews went about heaping more dirt on the show and all who dared to try and take it seriously. An anti-promotion within a promotion, NXT seemed designed to do the opposite of get its women over, and the commentators were only too happy to contribute to the generationally appalling vibe.

"The season can't end early enough" and lines like it were uttered multiple times a week from impossibly early into the show, as was a bizarre runner featuring Cole mocking Matthews for his real life divorce process, and occasional nods to Taz (who by now had his feet well and truly under the TNA commentary table) whenever somebody peeled off a sub-par suplex. Seedy little men with their seedy little jokes in a boys club overseen by the worst possible man to place in charge.
