30 Most INSANE Things Wrestlers Have EVER Said On Live TV

14. Ric Flair Takes It Way Too Far

Ric Flair’s October 4th, 2004, Monday Night promo on Randy Orton was meant to be a routine Legend vs. Protégé speech, but instead, it became one of the more shockingly offensive moments in an era where WWE made "shockingly offensive" their house style.

In the midst of his tirade against the supposedly virginal and youthful Orton, 'The Nature Boy' blurted out: “You know how many virgins I’ve made holler, scream, and bleed?!” The crowd reaction was a mix of gasps and uncomfortable silence, as Flair - likely caught up in the moment - failed to realise the horrifying implications of what he had just said.

The line was deemed so appalling that WWE immediately cut it from future airings and releases of the segment. Backstage, there was significant fallout, as higher-ups were furious over Flair’s off-the-cuff remark. While he wasn’t publicly disciplined, it’s been reported that he was strongly reprimanded and warned to keep his promos closer to the boundaries of good taste moving forward.

'Slick Ric' legendary charisma and 'Dirtiest Player in the Game' persona had given him a long leash on live television, but after this disgraceful moment, it was clear that even he wasn’t untouchable when it came to crossing the line.
