23. A Controversial Ending
Roman Reigns hoists the WWE Championship aloft, having defeated Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32.
In one of the most negatively-received WrestleMania endings ever, Roman Reigns cleanly defeated Triple H to win the WWE Championship. Fans voiced their hatred of Roman throughout the bout with loud booing, and chants for superstars entirely unconnected with the feud (most notably Sami Zayn).
WWE resorted to audio trickery, attempting to lessen the backlash, but there was no hiding the fact that vast swatches of their fanbase were unwilling to accept Reigns as the new face of the company.
