Maverick's real-life pal is gone too.

EC3 has never been used to the best of his abilities in the WWE system. Those main event level promos he cut in TNA seemed like a distant memory when he was working episodes of main event as Eric Young's tag-team partner, for example. For the record, that's the second time the 'E' has done nothing with the man.

His prior run as Derrick Bateman was like a bad dream for someone with a sculpted physique one could reasonably expect Vince McMahon to admire. Since rehiring him in 2018 though, WWE has repeatedly overlooked Carter in favour of others and never once really given him a platform to shine on episodes of Raw.

What a missed opportunity this was.
