5. Drake Maverick

Drake Maverick 24/7
WWE

Footage doing the rounds on Twitter of an emotional Drake Maverick's reaction to his WWE release is pretty heartbreaking stuff. The guy loved being part of the company, and he made no secret about the fact it was a childhood dream fulfilled to even get there.

Maverick had been defying the odds his entire life, and he did his best with everything creative handed him; Drake was solid as 205 Live GM, provided countless laughs in the 24/7 Title scene and even p*ssed his pint-sized pants on pay-per-view.

He'll be missed by anybody that admires those who maximise their on screen minutes.

This writer has been fortunate enough to work with Maverick as a peer and admire him as a fan for many years now. He'll bounce back, there's no doubt about that. For now, he cuts a disconsolate, dejected figure, and it's horrible to see.
