"Dream Signing" Coming To AEW Soon?
AEW chief Tony Khan teases another big signing ahead of Dynamite's TBS debut.
All Elite Wrestling's recent wrestler acquisition spree looks set to continue with a "dream signing."
This is according to company president and owner Tony Khan, who insinuated that a big name is on their way to his wrestling promotion - and soon.
Speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100 ahead of tonight's episode of Dynamite, the AEW chief said the following when asked if a "dream signing" was coming to his company:-
“There is. They are in North America, and they’re coming. And pretty soon, and it’s going to be awesome. I’m very excited.”
Khan didn't elaborate on the matter. The likes of Windham 'Bray Wyatt' Rotunda, Adam 'Braun Strowman' Scherr, Johnny Gargano, and Keith Lee would stand as some of the biggest free agents left on the market at the moment, though many former WWE wrestlers are still bound by non-compete clauses after leaving the market leaders in 2021.
2022 looks like it'll be another busy year for AEW, signings-wise, with Mercedes Martinez and Jake Atlas both joining the promotion already. The company added major names like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and more to its talent pool in 2021.
