With AAA Triplemania XXX: Mexico City having taken place this past weekend, Kenny Omega was approached to make a video appearance at this huge event.

The Best Bout Machine was the AAA Mega Champion from October 2019 up until he had to vacate that prize in November of last year. Current Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo won that vacant belt at Triplemanía Regia II - emerging victorious in a five-way contest featuring Bandido, Samuray del Sol, Jay Lethal and Bobby Fish - and Konnan has revealed that Omega was approached to send in a video for Triplemania XXX: Mexico City where he'd challenge the winner of Vikingo vs. Rey Fenix; a match Vikingo was the winner of.

Speaking on his Keepin' it 100 podcast (via F4WOnline), K-Dog explained:

"I know there are some legal issues because I actually asked Kenny Omega if he could send me a video for Triplemania, whoever wins between Vikingo and Fenix because, you know, he's [Omega's] the number one contender, and he goes, 'I still can't because of legal issues'. So, there is something legal going on."

Of course, Kenny - along with the Young Bucks, CM Punk and producer Ace Steel - is currently serving a suspension from AEW due to the already infamous events that immediately followed All Out last month.

As of this writing, there's no word on when any of these suspended names will be brought back into the AEW fold, and right now there's an ongoing third party investigation to decipher exactly what happened after All Out.
