J&J Security and The Stooges

For anyone who remembers the late-’90s and early-‘00s WWF landscape, you’ll remember seeing Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco running around as stooges for The Corporation. Whether it was Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Triple H or A.N. Other, Patterson and Brisco could always be found kissing the behind of the roster’s top heels, often taking a beating to protect whomever they were sucking up to.

So let’s bring things forward to the modern day. Take out The Corporation and substitute The Authority, for Vince McMahon see today’s Triple H, for “then” Triple H bring in Seth Rollins. As far as the stooges of Patterson and Brisco go, it’s an obvious observation to see their roles have now been filled by J&J Security.

Need somebody to take a beating? Need a distraction to help the champ? Need somebody to massage egos? Need somebody to bring the coffees? Whereas previously you’d call Patterson and Brisco, these days it’s all about Noble and Mercury.
