Feed me more? Who’s next? More like who cares.

Both unstoppable monsters who made an immediate impact by feasting on a gaggle of jobbers, the shouty, spitting, carb-devouring duo of Ryback and Bill Goldberg share a host of obvious similarities.

Now where as Goldberg was over as a huge star (it’s amazing what a piped-in reaction can do for a talent…), Ryback has struggled and laboured in the midcard after being launched straight into the main event initially.

The no-nonsense, hard-hitting style of Ryback is the exact same thing that brought Goldberg a whole bunch of fanfare. For The Ryback, though, it appears that fans want something different these days.

With near-enough any and all wrestling fan being some sort of smartened up these days, there’s nowhere near as many people who just want to see a one-dimensional monster ripping through a bunch of nobodies as they tally up an ever-growing list of nameless, faceless victims.

In fairness to Ryback, he does seem to have improved vastly over the last few months, although don’t go holding your breath for a 173-match undefeated streak. Still, if that does happen, expect to see Kevin Nash and Scott Hall turn up with a taser.
