4 Most Likely General Manager Candidates For WWE Raw & SmackDown

1. Daniel Bryan (SmackDown)

Of all the potential candidates to run SmackDown, the beloved Daniel Bryan is the odds-on favourite. Not because he's the most qualified to do so, but because it was essentially confirmed by the WWE itself.

The WWE App can be credited for letting the cat out of the bag, reportedly announcing Bryan as Shane McMahon's selection soon after it was announced that both brands would have General Managers.

Bryan is a fantastic selection for the position based on his popularity alone. It'd be difficult to come across a WWE fan who Daniel Bryan didn't captivate during his short-lived time on top of the company, and there is certainly a sense of unfinished business when it comes to the American Dragon.

On top of his position as Cruiserweight Classic commentator, a pre-recorded pursuit, Bryan's impending appointment as SmackDown General Manager will surely draw fans that have switched off over the past year back to the product.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
