4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 19 - Results & Review)

4. Boring And Predictable

WWE Raw Raquel Rodriguez

This is not meant to take a swipe at Raquel Rodriguez, who returned to action Monday night and won the last chance battle royal and punched her ticket to Elimination Chamber this weekend.

But the minute Rodriguez was introduced for the battle royal, it was blatantly obvious she was winning. It didn’t help that the rest of the ring was filled with the five qualifying match losers and the remnants of the women’s tag division. Go back and look at the rundown of wrestlers and name one – other than Chelsea Green and maybe Zelina Vega – who has any kind of significant profile heading in.

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark had a nice little deal going where they worked as a perfect team throughout the entire match, right up to the point that Shayna was eliminated and still tried to help Zoey stay in the battle royal. That was a silver lining to the match, but the question is whether WWE will follow up on this – Stark and Baszler have been treading water on Raw for a while now.

Rodriguez is a welcome addition to the chamber match, and having her back in the rotation is a net positive. It’s a shame that so much of what was around her was just drab and dull Monday night.
