Ups…

4. At Least She’s A Heel

While we had to endure the announcers battling a case of amnesia when it came to Piper Niven on Monday night, we got to see our first glimpse of how WWE is planning to use Eva Marie.

Rather than wrestling on Raw, Eva sent her charge into the ring to take out Naomi, then claimed the victory for herself… a true heel move if there ever was one. In some ways, that’s a huge relief. The vignettes seemed to portray Eva Marie as trying to be a legit inspiration for others and doing her best to win over the fans.

Unless she had suddenly learned how to compete in the ring, this natural heel heat magnet was always going to be booed by real fans. So it was good to see this apparently all was a ruse.

Of course, there’s plenty of opportunities for WWE to botch this, but at least they didn’t try to make us cheer for Eva Marie.
