4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 17)

Ups...

4. Trent Beretta’s Performance

The opening tag was Trent Beretta's first match back since a loss to Penta on the 21 April episode of Dynamite, and the Best Friends member looked damn excited to be back out there. He didn't show any signs of that neck injury that had kept him benched either, which is great.

Trent got to work some nice spots in amongst all the usual chaos you'd expect with so many bodies on the ring apron, and he even got ye olde hot tag from Orange Cassidy for a polite pop from the live crowd. It was ace to see Beretta back out there.

It's even better that he scored the pin for his team.

Bobby Fish took that fall - defeat pushes his story as the odd man out in The Elite forwards. Being honest, it's why Fish is there in matches like this. This writer would much rather see him eat losses than Adam Cole right now, especially if it's going to lead to something on the other side.
