4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 29 - Results & Review)

2. Chemistry Counts

Hikaru Shida Ruby Soho
AEW

Being totally honest, this fan could take or leave Hikaru Shida challenging Saraya for the AEW Women's Title on an upcoming episode of Dynamite. However, Shida and Ruby Soho worked well together on Rampage, and they produced a worthy main event. Everything had a nice tempo to it.

This wasn't a boring affair, put it that way.

Regular Rampage viewers will know fine well that some mains suffer due to the formulaic pic-in-pic formatting, but Ruby vs. Hikaru wasn't one of them. They packed an awful lot into their minutes here, and Shida was a popular winner before the champ came out to stare her down.

Some may argue that the spray paint stuff with the ref was unnecessary, but...what's the alternative? Zero drama? Where's the fun in that?! These ladies had to do everything in their power to at least try make their headliner worthwhile and newsworthy.
