4 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Aug 30)
3. Back To Its Roots
The X Division has always been one of Impact's greatest assets, bringing with it a host of some of the world's greatest that have gone on to do tremendous things. It is of course not just high flying wrestlers part of the division though, as you can tell from reigning champion Brian Cage.
The stupidly talented Cage is the epitome of what non-wrestling fans would imagine the typical wrestler to look like. With his massive arms and outstanding athletic abilities, he's would some wrestlers would perhaps strive to be. This week saw him defend the X Division championship against Fénix, a match that called back to the olden days of the division.
Both men showcased what they've become known for, Cage utilising his brute strength and Fénix flipping around the ring to escape his wrath. Ever since Cage was brought in to the X Division, it reminded us that you don't need to be a flippy guy to succeed in the division.
