4 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (9 Aug - Results & Review)

1. Another So-So Tag

DIY Pretty Deadly

DIY vs. Pretty Deadly had a little more spirit, but it still struggled to hit the heights expected of two teams like this. The match could've and probably should've been better. Being fair, an ad break slapped awkwardly near the middle totally gutted the bout's flow. Like, this was AEW levels of ruining momentum of a match.

It looks like Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Street Profits to see who gets a tag title shot against The Bloodline 2.0 then. Fingers crossed they have a good one, but it's safe to say DIY are definitely more interesting right now; especially after they dropped the belts in front of friends and family.

WWE has a story to work with there that's lacking on The Profits side.

It sucks hard that Jacob Fatu is seemingly injured and has to bow out for Tonga Loa in the short-term though. He could've used a few blistering tag performances to become Solo Sikoa's true right hand man, but it wasn't to be. Right, enough negativity. Onto the 'Ups'!
