4. A Good Intro For Lola Vice

If timing is everything, WWE deserves credit for waiting to launch Lola Vice’s main roster career in Mexico City after she had spent some time wrestling in Mexico City in AAA, giving her a base of support for her debut.

Vice fought Raquel Rodriguez and Kelani Jordan (a somewhat baffling choice as the reigning NXT Women’s Champion) for a spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Lola kept both women off guard with a dizzying array of kicks and submission holds, while Jordan displayed some flashy offense to stay in the match.

But it was Rodriguez with the size and power advantage, throwing both women around and serving as a base for the smaller women to bounce off as they tried to gain an upper hand. She straight up caught a Kelani top rope hurricanrana attempt, muscling her up for a powerbomb, only for Jordan to float over into a sunset flip.

Lola capitalized when Rodriguez booted Jordan off the apron, grabbing a deep rollup for the win. While this sets Lola up for the MITB match, a pinfall victory over the Women’s Intercontinental Champion also positions her to challenge for that title. Raquel has been protected much better these days, and losing like this shouldn’t hurt her, especially since it served the purpose of building up a new star to the roster.
