4. A Vast Improvement For The Women’s Title

At least there was something to shout about elsewhere in SmackDown's women's division, and that hasn't often been the case recently. Poor Tiffany Stratton has been gridlocked in going nowhere promos, for the most part. For proof, consider this. Friday marked Tiffy's first singles match on the show since late-June's 'Last Woman Standing' bout vs. Nia Jax.

Late-June!

On the plus side, Stratton vs. Jade Cargill II was really good fun. Both women brought it from the opening bell. There was still some slight miscommunication, but it was nothing super noticeable or anything that ruined the flow of the match. Personally, yours truly actually liked this one better than the effort at SummerSlam. He isn't even against the double countout finish if it means we’re getting another helping from this pair.

Sure, the story has been dreadfully uninteresting, but they’re starting to build some chemistry during matches and this proved it. This fan has no interest in Nia Jax being involved to make it a Triple Threat, but it looks like that’s where WWE fancy going with things anyway. Being fair, Nia has been involved in some scorching bouts since her 2023 return, so it might be unfair to rule out another.

Previously, WWE would've stuck Tiffany and Jade on house show loops to iron out the wrinkles. They didn't get that luxury. Instead, Stratton vs. Cargill vs. Jax was the go to match on a recent live event run over in the UK and Ireland. Fair enough. Anyone disappointed by their SummerSlam collision will get more mileage out of this rematch, if nothing else.
