4 Ups & 3 Downs Of Brock Lesnar Vs. Randy Orton At WWE SummerSlam 2016

5. Down: They've Made A Slow Start

Brock Lesnar Randy Orton
WWE

On Raw, WWE announced that Lesnar’s opponent would be revealed on SmackDown, but that’s not exactly how it went down.

The news never made it to the Canadian broadcast: in fact, Lesnar’s name wasn’t mentioned once throughout the whole show. Instead, the match was confirmed during Canada’s weekly “Aftermath” show that airs immediately after SmackDown.

Really, WWE? This is how you chose to announce one of your biggest matches of the year?

It’s a very cold start for what should be one of the hottest stories of the year, and while WWE has plenty of time to recover, the announcement would’ve had a lot more impact had it come straight from Orton’s lips during a surprise return on Raw or SmackDown.
