4 Ups & 4 Downs Before WWE SummerSlam 2017
3. Raw's Universal Title Mayhem
Brock Lesnar isn't the kind of Universal Champion who will appear on Raw weekly in matches or even in segments. A definite part-timer these days, Lesnar is only wheeled out sporadically when WWE feel they need to pop a rating or to give late build to upcoming pay-per-view matches. That was the case this past Monday on Raw.
Check that reaction when security tried desperately to keep Brock and Braun Strowman from tearing into one another. That kind of fan response is organic, not to mention promising if WWE hope to promote a one-on-one match between the pair before the end of 2017. The involvement of Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns was also welcome.
Everyone involved came out looking strong and up for a fight. If this is a preview of things to come at SummerSlam, then the Fatal-4-Way could end being one of the best in living memory. They left it late to get Lesnar in on the action, but it was smart of WWE to book this brawl six days before the pay-per-view.
