4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 4)

1. Something Different For Rampage

Jon Moxley Trent Berretta Parking Lot Brawl
AEW

Where the hell did this come from?!

You don't see many wild 'Parking Lot Brawls' like this one on the Friday night show. Sure, Jon Moxley's bloodletting is a running joke now, but BCC vs. Best Friends did feel dangerous and was more exciting than the typical Rampage main event.

If nothing else, it gave the show more of a 'must see' vibe, and Rampage badly needs some of that. Sticking matches like this on the 'C' show proves that Tony Khan is trying to keep things interesting for those remaining loyal to it. A 20+ minute bloody brawl was sure better than most Rampage fare.

Seeing bigger-name stars like Mox and Claudio Castagnoli on the show was another plus point. They absolutely refused to go easy by phoning it in here, which is also cool to say. Everybody, including Chuck Taylor and Trent Berretta, worked their socks off to entertain.
