One can picture the Gorilla Position just behind that SmackDown curtain when Jacob Fatu and Rey Fenix were working some spots in front of an impassioned live crowd gobbling every second up. Triple H and other WWE lieutenants were surely eyeballing one another and giving it: 'Are you seeing what I'm seeing?'. They'd be mad not to scribble down something like, 'Fatu vs. Fenix one-on-one' for future reference.

The pair's exchanges stood out a mile in the tag pitting Jacob and JC Mateo vs. Rey and Jimmy Uso. You could tell just from these brief glimpses of their work that they'd do great things as rivals. Book that singles match now, please, 'cause it'd be amazing. One long, uninterrupted camera shot of Fenix doing his thing and cutting through both Fatu and Mateo was fire.

This tag match was solid overall, and it was absolutely an improvement for JC over his in-ring debut on last week's SmackDown. Tag-team matches could well be the best way to use him. Also, Jeff Cobb gives off major Rhyno vibes, and any self-respecting ECW fan will be all over it. Fingers crossed last week's debut was a mere blip and he'll show better soon.

Fenix vs. Fatu though - that's money. If WWE are smart, they'll program that in between all this Jacob and Solo Sikoa break up stuff. It's easy. Script another few run-ins, then give the pair 15 minutes of TV time in the main event spot on a coming episode of SmackDown. Bang! Results. Beautiful, beautiful results.

That sort of high-energy showdown is really what Fenix came to WWE for anyway.
