4. Tough To Get Into Nakamura’s Words
Let's not play pretend that this is going anywhere meaningful.
Shinsuke Nakamura popped up in his usual pre-tapes to say that he and his partner, whomever that is, will make life hell for The MFTs. Yep, we’re back to calling Tama and Talla Tonga that again even thought it was Solo Sikoa’s faction name. Honestly, it’s hard to care about Shinsuke these days. We’ve seen far too many of these soft resets and ominous warnings from him that lead to pretty much nothing, so…this is the next one, yeah?
That's really all there is to say about it. At this stage in his run, it'd be a minor miracle if WWE bosses paid attention to his new tag-team for longer than a cup of coffee between creative chatter about what Cody Rhodes or Roman Reigns will be doing. There's next to no chance for Nakamura to build any sort of momentum before he fizzles out, vanishes and then shows back up in these pre-tapes to mumble a load of nonsense that's frankly tedious as all hell.
We've been here before. Multiple times. Also, Tama and Talla just got Haku as their new manager but didn't feature on this week's show. They're in a 3-way with The War Raiders and odd couple Damian Priest and R-Truth next week, sure. However, this is why it's borderline impossible for undercard acts to get over - WWE's writers just seem to forget all about building blocks or character development beyond the superficial.
Shin's latest bid for TV time will end the same way of his others over the past 5+ years have.
