4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (March 29 - Results & Review)
3. Weak Tag Number Three
Triple H must've been playing a game of, 'How Many Passive Tag Matches Can I Get On One Show?' this week. Did 'The Game' have a sly bet on with somebody behind the scenes, or something? Or, was the boss content to phone it in a wee bit for SmackDown and give the writers a breather before 'Mania kicks into overdrive next week?
New Catch Republic vs. Legado del Fantasma was another skippable effort few will go out of their way to see. All you need to know is that Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne won, so they'll be marching into that ladder multi-team in Philly. Humberto and Angel better hope they're ringside for something involving Santos Escobar and the LWO.
It's hard to shake the feeling this should've been better given the talent involved. WWE fell into the AEW trap of placing a commercial break at the worst time, being fair. That wrecked any chances these guys had of producing something killer, which isn't their fault.
No more short tag matches for a while, please.
