Downs…

5. That’s It For Lashley?

It’s not Bobby Lashley’s fault that his planned match against Bray Wyatt fell apart because Bray wasn’t able to compete.

Winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown was decent compensation, though nowhere near as good as a Mania bout. But when word got around that the Andre trophy was being brought to SoFi Stadium, you got the feeling we were going to be treated to something with the All Mighty. After all, WWE isn’t shy about doing impromptu matches (as we’d see later), so surely they’d do something for Lashley, even if it was a 30-second squash of Elias.

But no, all we got was Lashley carrying the trophy out onto the stage and waving to the fans for a minute before heading to the back. He went from a match with one of the more celebrated re-signings in recent WWE history to a cameo.

But Snoop Dogg won a match.
