4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 19)

2. Got There Cleanly

For a minute, you had to wonder if we were going to end up with a triple threat for the Raw Women’s Championship or if they’d stretch this Carmella secondary angle out for yet another week.

After last week’s count-out win in a title match, a rematch was in order, and the added stipulation of the title changing hands on a count-out made some sense (though the champ wasn’t doing their Honky Tonk Man impersonation). And Carmella trying to get Bianca Belair counted out repeatedly made a lot of sense.

But with Becky Lynch at ringside, you couldn’t help but wonder if she was going to get involved again and maybe cause a DQ, forcing a third match – because you’ve got to fill three hours every week, PAL.

Instead, Belair fired up off some trash talk and a slap from Carmella, quickly nailing the KOD to retain. Simple, direct and sets up for the WrestleMania 38 rematch at SummerSlam. Fine and fine.
