4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 19)

5. Omos A Silent Enforcer?

What is the thinking behind having Omos decimate the Street Profits less than two weeks before SummerSlam?

For the second week in a row, the Nigerian Giant did the Usos’ dirty work for them, attacking the Profits, this time laying out both Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins at the same time. This came after Dawkins survived a brief singles bout with Omos that ended in a DQ, only for the follow-up tag match adding Ford and MVP to the mix ended in a DQ when the Usos interfered.

Afterwards, the beatdown came, allowing Jimmy & Jey to stand over their fallen tag title challengers.

It’s a pointless add-on to the rivalry. It doesn’t add anything in making you want to see the Usos/Profits any more than you already do. Now, if they established that Omos was a hired gun sent by the Bloodline to injure Ford & Dawkins, that might help this, but even then, it just feels like it’s superfluous, while also making the challengers look weak.
