3. KO/Ezekiel, Round 2

A babyface asking for a rematch after they lost cleanly rarely works. But in the case of Ezekiel, it helps when your heel is Kevin Owens.

Ezekiel lost at Hell in a Cell Sunday night, and he owned that, claiming that he fell short because he’s new and learning, but he wanted a second chance. Owens said he’d grant Ezekiel a rematch next week on one condition: he admit he’s really Elias.

After some hemming and hawing, Ezekiel admitted that “my name is Elias.” This sent KO into hysterics as he freaked out and yelled about how he was right, that he wasn’t crazy and that Ezekiel was a liar. It was an insane celebration from Owens.

But then Zeke threw cold water on the party, saying he stole a page from Kevin Owens’ playbook… and simply lied to get the rematch. This sent KO into another fit, but he ran right into a jumping knee from Ezekiel.

The rematch might not be anything special, but KO’s reactions alone merited this story continuing for at least another week or two.
