4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (March 21)

2. It’s Been 19 Years…

Here’s the problem with the ongoing angle between Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin: The destination is all wrong.

Let’s face it: A match really is the only acceptable outcome to this entire feud. An appearance on the KO Show? Can someone work out the logic here? Owens has spent weeks running down Texas and now Austin himself, and the Rattlesnake is instead just going to appear on KO’s talk show? Why wouldn’t he want a match or just a fight to put Owens in his place?

And the build all points to a match to blow everything off, not a talk show. If anything, the talking should come on Raw in the lead-up to WrestleMania, not at Mania itself.

Oh sure, there will most definitely be a Stunner issued, but we’ve seen that countless times during the past 19 years. WWE is acting like Austin was hermetically sealed after WM 19 and only now is being released back into the wild. It’s insulting to our intelligence. Stop treating this appearance like it’s anything more than we’ve seen at several Manias.

Hell, Austin Stunnered Brock Lesnar and Goldberg at WM 20. Anyone want to call attention to that?
