4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (13 Nov - Results & Review)

3. Another Week, Another #DIY Setback

When WWE decided to reunite #DIY, was it just to get Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano more TV time, or was there an actual plan?

The duo won their first match back by defeating Imperium two weeks ago, but that came after a very poor effort to (re)introduce them to fans, many of whom had never seen them tag together, and thus they had to rally fans to them by sheer force of will. Then last week, Gargano and Ciampa lost to the Creed Brothers due to Ludwig Kaiser’s shenanigans.

Ciampa battled Kaiser Monday night to right that wrong, and instead, Giovanni Vinci cost him the match by attacking Gargano at ringside, leading Tommaso to become distracted and suffer the dreaded rollup finish. And so that means #DIY has lost twice due to the team they beat cleanly two weeks prior, setting up a likely rematch to a match that was a struggle to get over with fans.

And can WWE remind everyone how this helps get #DIY over with fans? They saw one short-circuited backstage interview, one tag win, and then losses via distraction/interference. Not exactly a great way to make progress.
