4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (March 8)

5. So Much For The Title Contenders

After weeks of futilely trying to build up Lana & Naomi as WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship challengers, the duo finally got their shot on Monday night.

It didn’t go well.

But let’s be clear: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler didn’t exactly look like world-beaters either. The team toppled the #1 contenders without too much trouble, but they also got an assist from Reginald (yes, Carmella’s sommelier is now cavorting with Jax) because apparently, the team of Lana & Naomi were too much for Nia & Shayna to handle.

You have to feel bad for Naomi here. Last week, she was squashed by Jax. This week, she had to hold together a match where Lana got a bunch of offense despite being the clear weak link in the contest. At least she didn’t take the fall here.
