4 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Nov 4)

3. Zombie Here Now

As with pretty much everything Cameron Grimes has done lately, I'll fully understand if this is very much not for you. The vast majority of a wrestling audience will give you a pass on a zombie-referee storyline while it's confined to an event named Halloween Havoc, but lines will likely be getting drawn now.

Which is daft, really, because the whole angle here is that the referee isn't actually a zombie. He's just a referee. It's just all in Cameron Grimes head and, if there's one member of this roster whose going to make entertaining weekly TV out of that premise it's him. It even offsets his usual swagger quite nicely.

For the match itself though, NXT usually falls down when trying to put two people embroiled in separate pushes together. The show is so adverse to clean finishes, you know something is going happen eventually, but finishing a way to push both of these storylines on was a pleasant surprise.

Kushida continues his solid run, Cameron Grimes is so scared of the ref he just taps out, everyone's a winner.
