4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (June 4)
1. A Boring Show With No Long Matches
When writing about Smackdown every week it's always tough to come up with thing to say because WWE really doesn't push a lot of angles that well on this show. The only real newsworthy things were when Kane added himself to the Money in the Bank match and the Prime Time Players earned a title shot, which we expected anyway. At least in other weeks we might get a 12-15 minute match that's awesome like that Kidd/Cesaro vs. Lucha Dragons tag match or something involving Rollins or Ambrose. Instead, the longest match this week was about eight minutes long and nothing really seemed that exciting. Look at how Roman Reigns was booked this week. He won three matches on Raw and then won by disqualification over Sheamus. Even if Reigns is your favorite wrestler you probably got sick of watching him deliver all of the clotheslines and uppercut punches he does in every match. It just feels so repetitive week after week. If WWE wants people to care about Smackdown they need to put on longer, better matches. People that watch Smackdown already watched Raw. We don't need reminders every ten minutes. There's so much talent in WWE right now on screen and behind the scenes too. Unfortunately, not enough time is being spent in booking this show that WWE is paid millions of dollars to air.
