Ah yes, two tag teams split two singles matches. Another favorite trope of WWE’s crack writing staff.

Seriously, did anyone think once Cesaro won his match that Sheamus also might win his? The 50/50 booking for singles bouts involving two tag teams is about as common and as expected as a sunrise in WWE. The only shocking thing was that Cesaro won without Sheamus actually interfering, while Dean Ambrose won only after Seth Rollins physically interjected himself into the match.

Look, this is a fine feud between four really good wrestlers, and a tag title rematch should be very good. And while you have to appreciate that WWE doesn’t want one team to look superior to another, booking two back-to-back singles matches and having the teams split the bouts is just so expected and so uninspired.
