4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Feb 5)

2. Roman Reigns Looked Strong With A Lot Of Help From The Miz

It was a productive night for Roman Reigns. During the opening MizTV segment, he was in no mood for talking and simply knocked out Miz with a Superman Punch. It was one of those things that happened out of nowhere, so it made for good TV. Following the KO, he did fine in the promo that followed. It wasn't anything special, but it's better than saying nursery rhymes. Later in the show, Miz challenged Roman to a match. That led to a fairly easy win for Reigns in a six minute match where Miz managed to get some offense in, but once Roman got the momentum going you knew it was over. With that said, some of the crowd noise that existed for Roman sounded a bit fishy. That's Smackdown. They love to pump in the crowd noise. The Miz was tremendous in the opening segment and in the match against Reigns. It seems as though he's back in the groove as the over the top heel character that led to him main eventing WrestleMania 27 years ago. The crowd genuinely hates him again. That's why he should always be a heel.
