5. Vs. Kurt Angle - 06/10/2009
When people think of Kurt Angle and TNA, many will look straight to his initial feud with Samoa Joe as the height point for the Olympic Gold Medallist. A fine argument could be put up for that, but in terms of in-ring quality the same shout can go up in favour of AJ Styles, too. Styles and Angle met many times inside the TNA ring, both the six-sided and four-sided versions, and only on the rarest of occasions did those matches reach anything less than excellence. The majority of their matches came in a series of sorts towards the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, as the two feuded over the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately this coincided with the arrival of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff in TNA, so the number of lame finishes increased exponentially. This match for AJ's title at Genesis in 2010 was their last over the belt, and despite an aforementioned terrible finish is as good a match as TNA put on during the Hogan years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqNlJjGXy4E
