5 Awful Wrestling Halloween Gimmick Matches You Need To Know About

5. Trick Or Street Fight

In 2014, SmackDown fell on Halloween night so WWE decided to take advantage of the holiday and have two stars battle it out in a €˜Trick Or Street Fight€™. Now, if you€™re looking for me to explain the subtle nuances of the match or list all the rules, it€™s not that complicated. It€™s the same as a street fight, except there are Halloween props situated at ringside.

The inaugural match took place between Dean Ambrose and Cesaro last year (where candy was used as a weapon), but the match ultimately built to the crescendo of The Lunatic Fringe putting a pumpkin over the Swiss Superman€™s head and planting him with Dirty Deeds for the win.

Just this past Thursday, WWE decided to change the blue colours of SmackDown to orange and black in order to celebrate Halloween and staged the 2nd annual Trick or Street Fight with Dolph Ziggler & The Miz. Ultimately, the same cliches were used throughout the bout, only this time The Show Off dunked Miz€™s head into a bucket full of apples.

This match seems to be WWE€™s new way of celebrating All Hallows Eve, in order to have their favourite spot where the heel stumbles around with a pumpkin on his head.

It could always be worse...
