2. A Match Order That Hurt The Show

You don't have to look too far to see that a vast portion of fans weren't all that fussed on the main event match... or perhaps more-so the placement of the main event match.

A contest that saw Shayna Baszler eliminate every single competitor in the chamber within minutes while spending most of the time strutting around the ring and waiting for someone else to be released from their pod, it certainly made sense in terms of booking her to be a threat to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. Unfortunately, it just wasn't all that pleasing of a watch and that ultimately resulted in the continued decline of a show that started off so well.

From the amazing opening match between Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak to the fun U.S. Championship bout and then the great elimination chamber match for the SmackDown Tag Team titles, the event was front-loaded with bouts designed to entertain, and while that made for a very enjoyable PPV at the time, it ultimately hurt the show because the matches towards the end - specifically the final two - saw a massive dip in quality.

Had the women's chamber match swapped places with the tag team one, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now, but starting off so strong, knowing that the bland main event was yet to come, WWE creative essentially set themselves up to fail... which they ultimately did.
