5 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

1. Not Giving ANY Of The Women A Chance Against Baszler

We've already discussed how the main event match resulted in Elimination Chamber ending on something of a bum note, but let's talk a little bit about that match itself, and why it ultimately worked against the women's division.

From the get-go, it was clear that this No. 1 Contender's Match was designed as a vehicle for Shayna Baszler to showcase her dominance in the squared circle and ultimately prove why she should be considered a threat to Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship, and while the match certainly accomplished that, isn't the point of WWE the drama of it? Wrestling is a form of live theatre, so it would have been nice to see some unexpected twists and turns unfold throughout the match to keep us on the edges of our seats, instead of just producing the predictable outcome in the most predictable of ways.

Baszler rampaged through everyone with relative ease, proving that nobody on the roster is a match against her, and essentially proving that none of them deserve a title shot - and you wonder why WWE fail to build stars? Even Asuka - who looked like she was going to stage the comeback of her career by standing toe-to-toe with Baszler - fell after a brief uninspired flurry.

The result was always going to be predictable, but this match didn't need to take the integrity of Raw's entire women's division with it.
