4. Losers: Titus O’Neil & Darren Young

Darren Young and Titus O’Neil are in the midst of the most disjointed feud in WWE today. A clash between the two former Prime Time Players makes sense on-paper, but WWE kicked things off with an ill-placed Titus heel turn before Young, the apparent good guy, ambushed his former partner from behind as he was screaming at Bob Backlund.

This week saw the alignment confusion continue, as Young rolled-up Titus with a handful of tights for the win. Backlund, Young’s life coach, didn’t see Darren cheating to win and the story rumbles on. Young has his 50/50 booking revenge for the previous week’s loss, and there’s a strong possibility that this story’s going to rumble-on over the weeks following SummerSlam.

They kept it brief, but nobody in the building was interested in this match. The fact that both Titus and Young have exhibited considerable heelish tendencies in recent weeks means the fans have no idea who they’re supposed to root for. Even then, WWE have done very little in-general to build either man up. Young had no momentum after failing to capture the Intercontinental Championship at Battleground, and Titus is fresh-off a series of week-by-week humiliations at Rusev’s hands. Raw only further diminished this story’s intrigue, and it’ll take a minor miracle for WWE to build it back up again.
