5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Raw (Oct 10)

3. Loser: Bayley

Raw’s women’s division has some significant problems at the moment. The Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks feud has been excellent, but aside from that, there’s next to nothing going on. The writers have seemingly forgotten about Nia Jax’s rise, Paige might be gone forever, and Alicia Fox is a near pointless presence.

Bayley, meanwhile, has been shunted all the way down the card after leaving the title feud. She wrestled another sloppy squash match against “Cami Fields” last night before eventually being attacked by Dana Brooke. Entering a feud with Charlotte’s henchwoman gives Bayley something to do, but it’s a significant fall from title contendership, and as good as Bayley is, it’s hard to see her dragging an entertaining rivalry out of the green, unseasoned Brooke.

All of SmackDown’s women have a purpose, but Raw (a show boasting three of NXT’s Four Horsewomen) continues struggling outside the title feud. Emma’s imminent return will help, but they’re going to struggle to find compelling things for Bayley to do with Sasha and Charlotte otherwise occupied. Bayley will make it back to the top sooner or later, but for now, it looks like she’ll be feeding off scraps.
