...because there could be no earthly reason why Finn Bálor's TLC recovery was drastically halted by a demeaning loss to 'The Big Red Monster'.

The logic of Kane's dominant display stacks up, but the timing of it is as ugly as the ash-smashed face that first revealed itself when the 'Devil's Favourite Demon' first unmasked.

Pinning Finn with three chokeslams, Kane's killer comeback was employed to presumably get him ready to be Braun Strowman's next high profile scalp, but Bálor's involvement was the type of short-sighted destruction WWE haven't dabbled with in a very long time.

Coming off an electric encounter with AJ Styles in place of what had the potential to be the worst match of the year against 'Sister Abigail', Finn was again a star. The decision to pick him, of all talents, to take this type of loss to Kane was subsequently beyond perplexing. Even if the match justified his latest return to his own 'Demon' performer to tackle Undertaker's bonkers brother, the damage has been done beyond any rehabilitation.

Though Bálor may be wary of even breathing near the Universal Title he never lost after sliding down the card the last time he even mentioned Brock Lesnar's name in a promo, he'd be best separated from this supernatural silliness. TLC succinctly everything the company needs to do with the former NXT Champion to restore his former glory.

Just let the man wrestle, and for goodness sake let him win.
