5 Dream UFC Fights For Brock Lesnar

2. Alistair Overeem

What for, you ask? Well for starters, back in February 2014, in the strangest call-out in UFC history, Alistair Overeem called out Brock Lesnar. The retired Brock Lesnar. The currently employed by the WWE Brock Lesnar. The Brock Lesnar Overeem had already defeated in his very first UFC fight. However, there's something of a shady asterisk attached to that fight: Overeem failed a drug test following the bout that should have seen his win overturned to a no contest. Overeem had been granted a conditional fight license for the Lesnar bout based on passing pre and post-fight drug tests, as he fled the country to avoid an initial NSAC drug screening. He passed a test immediately following his defeat of Lesnar but failed one weeks later. Simply because he had passed one post-fight test, the NSAC let the win stay on his record - but the drug test failure came within the window the NSAC had granted him as part of his conditional license. In essence, Overeem dodged a bullet. The MMA media picked up the story briefly, but as Lesnar had retired after the fight, it wasn't really pursued. Which is a shame. Overeem had finally been caught red-handed, following years of speculation, but Lesnar, who never failed a drug test while in the UFC, still got stuck with a questionable loss on his record. A rematch? Why not. The Overeem of today is far from the jacked up, juiced up Overeem that Lesnar faced. This would be a much more even contest.
