2. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin joined WWEs main roster in 2002, alongside tag-team partner Charlie Haas as members of Team Angle. The (Self-Proclaimed) Worlds Greatest Tag Team enjoyed huge success during their two years on Smackdown, defeating the likes of Los Guerreros and ultimately becoming 2-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Following Benjamins draft to Raw in 2004, he almost immediately became a bastion of the brands midcard, holding the Intercontinental Championship on three occasions and the United States Championship once. During his time with WWE, Benjamin was celebrated as a former amateur wrestler and best pure athlete on the roster. Regardless of his successes, he was released in a talent cull on April 22, 2010. Shelton Benjamin was an absolute joy to watch during his tenure with WWE; his matches always an excellent quality. I found his release a real shock. Since his departure from WWE, hes found new success in Ring of Honor and New Japan. However like Carlito Benjamin is a veteran of pro-wrestling and former foundation of WWEs midcard. Despite his championship successes, one cant help but feel that Benjamin was still under-utilised by WWE. He was never the greatest talker but wrestlers of his ability are few and far between. The 37-year old would no doubt be welcomed back by the WWE audience who are familiar with his history and ability, and by God does he deserve it.
