5 Former WWE Superstars That Deserve a Contract

1. MVP

mvp When Montel Vontavious Porter made his WWE debut in August 2006, I immediately expected him to be one for the future. It wasn€™t long before he was thrown in at the deep end, feuding with established WWE Superstars such as Kane and Chris Benoit. Not long after his debut, he became United States Champion; a title that he held twice during his three years with the company. Following the loss of his second US Championship, MVP lost a great deal of momentum and surprisingly went on a five-month losing streak. This was somewhat of a disappointing outcome for MVP, who never reached the heights of the main event or World Champion that I and so many expected of him. Unsurprisingly, his request for a release in late-2010 was accepted. Since his departure from WWE, MVP has become a huge success in Japan, where he continues to live a lifelong dream in New Japan Pro Wrestling. However, having not been able to reach the heights that he no doubt hoped for in WWE, maybe he€™d now consider a return to the States. MVP wouldn€™t be the first to leave WWE for Japan before returning. Maybe this time it could work out a little better than it did for one Lord Tensai. At the very least, MVP could return to his position at the top of WWE€™s midcard but I still hope that the 39-year old has a World Championship run in him somewhere down the line. Sure, the five Superstars mentioned aren't the only former WWE employees that arguably deserve new contracts. There are plenty more that were released prematurely and never given the chance that they deserved and there were plenty whose careers just didn't work out as expected. Plenty others spring to mind too. Who do you think deserves another run in WWE and who would you like to see make a return?
