2. Booker T Has Lost His D*mn Mind

Booker T has one thing going for him on commentary: enthusiasm. While automatically more sufferable than Michael Cole, he is also profoundly confused. I probably shouldn’t be using his actual dementia under the pretence of satire. I should probably donate £2 a month for the cause.

Booker began his waking nightmare by talking over Michael Cole and apologising. “I don’t have any problem with Jason Jordan: I just want to see the guy do well,” he said in response to Corey Graves’ accusations of bias. Michael Cole p*ssed himself at the hypocrisy, given that Booker moans on a weekly basis about the nepotism. Michael Cole then cracked a great gag about Jordan now being included in Booker’s ‘Fave Five’, his old SmackDown bit. Cole is decent value when he isn’t reacting to near-falls as if he’s reading from a restaurant menu.

Jordan then dropped out of Booker’s ‘Fave Five’ a minute later. “Well the thing is, I wanna see this kid prove himself on his own. No handouts.” As much as I like Karl Anderson, it’s not as if wrestling him on a throwaway RAW is the main event of WrestleMania 34. Book wrapped up his Weston by forgetting that Corey Graves once wrestled for 12 years - but not before banging on, again, about the opportunities handed out to Jordan.

It didn’t end there. “This kid is proving something to me right now, on his own!” he said. When Jordan scored the pin, Booker was won over. Probably. “I like this kid,” he decided.

You don’t have to repeat everything five times, Book.
