The reverse side of the coin has already been discussed.

There's definitely potential for WWE to suffer as an additional target for Donald Trump detractors. Enemies of the Trump administration will ridicule him for his involvement in the "fake sport of wrestling" and likely condemn anyone that associates with WWE.

On the other hand, there's likely to be a segment of the national media that looks at WWE in a different light. Perhaps being turned onto the product for the first time, or at least giving the product a fair chance, Donald Trump's past involvement, on multiple occasions, may very well introduce a new segment of the audience to WWE. New eyes are almost certainly to be put on the product, if for no other reason than the intrigue and curiosity of seeing the President of the United States engage in pro-wrestling.

Time will tell if WWE sees any boost in credibility thanks to the President-elect giving WWE his stamp of approval and participating in the world of sports-entertainment. Whether or not Trump's association helps or hurt WWE, is unclear, but for now, WWE is hopeful.
